<---- Nightmist
She-Cat, 26 Moons
RANK: Deputy
ALLIANCE: BoulderClan
APPEARANCE: A small pure black, with a hint of blue in the pelt, she-cat with misty ice blue eyes.
PERSONALITY: Nightmist is a cold she-cat. Her misty ice blue eyes hold a certain coldness about them, yet at times, mainly with the younger clanmates she can be a caring and warm she-cat. When with her clan, Nightmist is a totally different she-cat than when with other clans. She is fiercely loyal to her clan, and does whatever she thinks is the best for it. Her loyalty also includes the leader, Ghoststar, and the senior warriors. When she is with the kits of her clan, Nightmist acts just like a queen; she is gentle and caring; her voice is soft and sweet. When with the apprentices, Nightmist acts like a mentor to them all, but she also acts like a sibling; encouraging them, providing helpful hints and praise. Every once in a while, she also includes a playful taunt, much like littermates would do. When with the other warriors, both young and senior warriors, Nightmist becomes what she is, the deputy. She respects them all, providing helpful hints, and praise to those she thinks needs a boost in self confidence. However, despite how she acts with her clan, Nightmist also has this serious air about her, one that demands respect and shouts power.
With other clans, Nightmist isn't the same, sweet, gentle, quiet she-cat she is when with BoulderClan. Her eyes become guarded and ice cold, just like their color. Her stance is less inviting and more tense; as if on edge. When with other clans, Nightmist tends to have show more of her dangerous side; claws ready to unsheathe at any moment. She has the same air about her, the one that demands respect and shouts power, but she also has a new quality when faced with the other clans. She becomes more menacing, in a way; more fierce. This mainly applies to those apprenticed and higher; with the kits, she won't act that way, no matter what clan. However, with the kits from different clans, she still holds that dangerous edge, that tense stance; yet not enough to frighten the kit away. Still, she holds herself enough to let the other clanmates that she means business, and that she's not one to mess around with, despite her small size.
Nightmist is also intelligent. She's quick and agile, silent as well, due to her small stature. Compared to her other clanmates, Nightmist may as well seem like an apprentice; even with some other apprentices. Still, she likes to show that size does not matter in battle; most especially since not many can compare to her swiftness and silent ways.
REASON FOR NAME: Nightmist was named Nightkit because of her black pelt. Her warrior name became Nightmist because of her eyes; a misty ice blue. Her silent hunting though, along with camouflage in the night and shadows, also helped with the name.
FAMILY: Father - Darkpelt; a large black tom with a white tuft of hair on his chest and green eyes. [ Deceased ]
Mother - Spottedfur; a beautiful tortoiseshell she-cat with warm ocean blue eyes. [ Senior Warrior ]
Littermate - Frosteye; a white tortoiseshell she-cat with Nightmist's same ice blue eyes, without the misty quality. [ Warrior ]
HISTORY: Nightmist's kithood was nothing special really, except for one small, ok maybe not so small, fact that was found during her kithood. During her kithood, Spottedfur noticed something wrong with Nightkit, and her right side, compared to Frostkit's. So, Spottedfur spoke to the medicine cat when they visited her next; and after some observations, they announced they needed to do some tests. Spottedstream and Darkpelt both watched anxiously as the medicine cat tested on their small Nightkit. After a few moments, after the tests were done, the medicine cat turned towards Nightkit's and Frostkit's parents, sadness apparent in their eyes and said the words that shattered their hearts. "I'm sorry, but Nightkit is blind in her right eye."
During her apprenticeship, Frostpaw would always taunt Nightpaw about her blind eye, saying she'll never be good enough. Nightpaw did nothing, because she found it to be true; she would never be a normal warrior. However, despite this, Nightpaw tried her hardest in everything she did; and she found her advantage in her small stature and used it to her advantage. Nightmist's apprenticeship is when she found her own style of fighting and hunting. One that made her just as good, if not better, than the larger cats of BoulderClan.
Despite her taunts, Frostpaw was always proud of her sister, and Nightpaw knew it. The two were best friends, sisters, littermates. They planned on having kits, and being able to help raise each others. Frostpaw was always stronger than Nightpaw, if anything because Nightpaw was one of the unusual small cats in BoulderClan. However, Frostpaw did not have the speed and agility Nightpaw carried along with her small, silent steps. Together, Nightpaw helped Frostpaw in quickening her movements, and Frostpaw helped Nightpaw train in her own style; they helped each other a lot.
When they both became warriors, and received their warrior names, they knew everything they did, the taunts from Frostpaw, the advancement of Nightpaw, the training of both, had all been worth it. Everything the two apprentices had done, helped shape them into the powerful, skilled warriors they were. Frostpaw became Frosteye, mainly due to the frostiness of their eye color, and the white base of her pelt. Nightpaw became Nightmist, due to her own special misty quality of her eyes. Both were prominent warriors, working their way to respect in all eyes. Their parents watched with proud eyes. However, only one moon after becoming warriors, Darkpelt had joined StarClan. He was a senior warrior, but old age was not the reason. Darkpelt had joined StarClan protecting his kits, now warriors, from a badger; he hadn't believed it was their time yet, so he made it his. To say the three she-cats, Spottedfur, Nightmist, and Frosteye, were devasted would be an understatement. Their mother was supposed to retire; but she maintained her Senior Warrior status, for Darkpelt if anything. Nightmist and Frosteye had become even more dedicated to the clan; always wanting to do the best and be the best for it; for the memory of all those that lost their lives due to their love for the clan.
When Nightmist became deputy, nothing really changed for her; she maintained her duty as both deputy and warrior. Her dedication and loyalty never wavered, not even in the darkest times. She may not have been a normal BoulderClan cat; but her spirit was BoulderClan all the way. She worked even harder for the clan; for her kin; for her clanmates; for herself. Becoming deputy just fueled Nightmist's dedication to her clan. When the time comes, that she should become leader, is she makes it that long, then Nightmist knows she wouldn't be the best choice; she knows she's happy with being deputy. When the time comes though, Nightmist is pretty sure, she would give the position to a cat that deserved it, to one that would be able to serve as the clan leader better than she could. She's fine with just deputy, but she doesn't believe she is fit for leader. She just has to talk to Ghoststar about it first.
RP EXAMPLE: Nightmist is my second character. Wolfpaw is my first.
