APPEARANCE: Dawnpelt's fur is Ginger of diferent shades as it gets closer to her tail.

PERSONALITY: Dawnpelt is a very kind she-cat, but only towards kits and other clan members. She will always help any abandoned kits found on Boulderclan territory, and will teach any apprentice who asks her to, even if it's not her own apprentice. She often knows just what to say to pick a clanmate's spirit up.

Dawnpelt is very cold and suspiscious toward any cat outside the clan. However, she will respect a non-clanborn cat if they have proven themselves. She does not show respect to any she feels are undeserving of it, with the exception of kits. She is wary of strangers, but can be very kind when she wants to be.

Dawnheart is a very good teacher. If one technique doesn't work, she will attempt to switch to a different form of teaching that will hopefully be more beneficial to the apprentice. She has taught only two apprentices, but both went to become good warriors.

REASON FOR NAME: Dawn: her pelt is varying shades of ginger.

FAMILY: Sunmist, mother, deseased. Blacknight, father, desceased. Duskpelt, brother.

HISTORY: Dawnpelt was born to Sunmist and Blacknight of Boulderclan. Her mother, Sunmist, had a bright ginger pelt. Her father's pelt was black as night, hence his name. Her brother, then Duskkit, has a dark grey pelt that reminded their parents of dusk. Dawnpelt, then Dawnkit, reminded their parents of dawn.

Despite opposite coloring, Dawnkit and Duskkit were very close. They surprised the clan by learning from their father while he taught his apprentice, when he did so in camp. Then they would practice on each other. When the clan brought in an abandoned kittypet, Dawnkit looked down on him with disdain. She remembered telling the kit, Ghostkit, that he had to prove himself if he wished to remain in the clan. Dawnkit and Duskkit kept away from the what they called outsider and lived their lives.

As apprentices, Dawnpaw and Duskpaw were assigned to two young warriors. The clan believed them to be quick learners, and they were. Dawnpaw kept her distance from the outsider, Ghostpaw, but began seeing how he melded into the clan about then. She had begun to respect him.

One sunrise, Blacknight was on a border patrol that met a rival clan attempting to hunt on Boulderclan lands. Dawnpaw and Duskpaw hadn't been on the patrol, and had been kept inside camp as punnishment for playing around near a precarious rock pile. When the patrol came back, Blacknight was dead. This broke Sunmist's spirit. Sunmist died a moon later from her depression and refusal to eat or drink.

Dawnpaw and Duskpaw became warriors and were named Dawnpelt and Duskpelt. Around this time, Dawnpelt was beginning to see Ghostheart as a true Boulderclan cat. She began speaking to him as she did any other clan member. Duskpelt also began speaking to Ghostheart as he would any other clan member.

Dawnpelt recieved her first apprentice when she was twenty-four moons. That one went on to become a great warrior. Around then, Ghostheart became deputy. Dawnpelt respected him fully from that moment on. In her eyes, any cat who becomes deputy has proven themselves. She began speaking to Ghostheart as she does to her brother Duskpelt. Seven moons ago, she took on a second apprentice. That one also became a good warrior.
