<---- Crowfoot
tom, forty five moons
RANK: Rogue[/i] : Dangerously so, Crowfoot has plans and goals for the future, and he'd do anything to make them happen. He'll go out of his way to make cats that are risks to his goals to “vanish”, and now that he has no Clan and therefor no Warrior Code, there's nothing holding him back. He has no regrets about dirtying his paws now, or lying to get his way. His ambitions are big but, his determination to make them happen are even bigger.
ALLIANCE: Formerly BoulderClan
APPEARANCE: Large, solid black tom with light yellow eyes and a left torn ear.
PERSONALITY:
cunning : Crowfoot is not a dumb tom. He knows the rules to survival, to life, and he knows how to twist them to make things bend his way. He's deceitful, he's sly, and he's smart enough to make all his abilities help him in the end. If he wanted, he could possibly even be charming. Unfortunately for Crowfoot, though, (and luckily for others), the tom hates companionship and social activities to much to even attempt to be charming.
short tempered : Who knows when it started or whether Crowfoot was born with it but, for as long as anyone can remember, the tom has had a short temper. Little things set him off, kits who are too loud, clingy cats, not catching his prey... It's easy to make Crowfoot angry, and he's known to hiss and scream for hours on hours when he's raging. Sometimes, when he's especially angry, the tom will even get violent. It hasn't happened much but, ... well, Spiderfur and Heronwing's untimely death were the results of one of these violent rages.
cynical : While some could say he's cynical, Crowfoot says he's a realist. He does not expect much from other cats, does not expect compassion from others, and knows that as long as four Clans exist that there will always be fights. There will always be needless deaths. Nothing is permanent in this world, and if someone is kind to you then they're either idiotic or faking. These are Crowfoot's views on the world, and it's doubtful they'll change. As cynical as he is, though, the black tom is also a bit of a dreamer. He dreams of all the Clans combined and ran by him. Perhaps that fits in more with his ambitions, though
cold : Like a true BoulderClan cat, Crowfoot is distrustful and cold to cats not from his previous clan. Unlike most BoulderClan cats, though, this distaste and cruel treatment extends to cats in his old clan, too. In fact, Crowfoot has always been mean and distant from all cats, especially since his banishment. He convinced himself at a young age that he didn't need anyone else and, is still convinced this to this day. He's not a social cat, nor one you'd have fun talking to. He's cruel, distant, and will cut you down before you can even start to really “talk” to him.
compulsive liar : It started out as a way to get attention, to try to make the other kits like him but, as he grew, so did Crowfoot's need to lie. Sometimes he does it without even realizing it, the words just slip out, little lies integrating in with anything he says. If there's one good piece of advice about Crowfoot, it's this: never believe what he says. Nearly everything that comes out of the tom's mouth is a lie, lies that are out to hurt others or help him out. And the fact that you're never able to tell the lies apart from the truth, well, that just makes the tom all the more dangerous.
lonely : Behind it all, though, behind the cruel attitude... Crowfoot really is somewhat lonely. The only companion he had died when he was an apprentice, and it messed him up badly. This could be why the tom is trying so hard to get Blackpaw, because he misses his family... Or perhaps because the apprentice reminds Crowfoot of his dead mother. No one will ever know for sure, though, because the tom has convinced himself that he hates all other cats. And he's definitely "not" lonely, if you ask him. [/ul]
REASON FOR NAME:
FAMILY:
father :
brother :
nephews : Ashpaw . Blackpaw[/ul]
HISTORY:
Ravenfang heard of his sons' birth only a few days later and, before either of the kits eyes' opened, the two were split up. Their father had wanted the tinier of the two, the one who looked more like a BrookClan cat, to give to his sister. (She was going to give birth any day now, she could take in one more kit.) Batflower was more then willing to give Spiderkit up, in hopes of not starting a feud, and so, the two brothers would be forced to grow up without each other.
Crowkit, for the most part, was a smart kit, a happy kit. He had no idea of his half-clan heritage, nor that he had a brother out there in BrookClan. His mother never had the heart to tell him about his father, or Spiderkit, and instead let him live his first few moons in ignorant bliss. Sure, none of the other Queens would let him play with their kits, (and Crowkit could never figure out why) but, the little tom was fine in his own little world. He didn't need other kits to play, anyway, he could play with his mother.
And what wonderful games they played! Batflower coddled her son, her little Crowkit, they played games of war and Clan life, where Crowkit would become Crowstar, leader of all the clans, and Batflower would be his loyal deputy.
Crowkit was a darling kit, or at least, around Batflower he was. When he wasn't around his mother though, the kit had a problem of pushing the other kittens around and lying to make others like him, or to make him seem "cooler". This, alongside his half-clan heritage, made the Queens keep their kits away from him even more. No one wanted their little ones to play with a half-clan bully, after all.
Looking back, some could say Crowkit was too rough when he played, that they all should of seen the problems, back then. He was too ambitious, too attached to his mother. They should of nipped the problem before it started to bloom, they could say.
But they didn't, and instead Crowkit's ambitions would only grow as time progressed.
crowpaw : Once he turned six moons old, Crowkit, like all other kits, was moved to the apprentice den and renamed “Crowpaw”. He was finally old enough to become an apprentice, to start his training, and both Crowpaw and Batflower were ecstatic about it. He was given an older tom for a mentor, one who was perhaps too strict and maybe even a bit cruel but, was the only one available. Crowpaw started his training right away, and, while he was off gallivanting across BoulderClan with his mentor, his mother returned to her warrior duties.
By the time he reached his seventh moon, Batflower had died in a border skirmish. Crowpaw was devastated. His mother had been the only one who had ever been really nice to him, not to mention his only family, and it was a terrible blow to Crowpaw to loose her. It was shortly after Batflower's death that Crowpaw learned of his parentage, of his father and brother in BrookClan, and, it was then thay Crowpaw began to withdraw into himself. The fact that he had talked to his father without realizing it at the last gathering, (and being completely brushed off and hissed at by him), sent the tom into a spiral of hate.
His father didn't want him, his mother was dead, he didn't have anyone- But, that was okay. In his grieving, (and anger), the black apprentice decided he didn't need anyone. He didn't need friends, or family, he would be alright on his own, all he needed were his dreams for the future. The dreams he had talked about with his mother back when he was younger. They may have seemed like silly kit dreams but, no, Crowpaw decided he would bring them to fruit.
Besides, if he really did become the leader of BoulderClan, and in turn, the other clans... Well, then there wouldn't be any more cats like him. There would never be cats loosing their family to senseless fights, or kits who would be shunned because of their parentage. It would be perfect... And he would make it happen.
And, well, if a few cats happened to get hurt in the process, too bad. They'd be worthy sacrifices for a better world, in the end.
crowfoot : Crowpaw finished his apprentice hood without much of a problem. When he was around thirteen moons old, his leader decided he was finally old enough to become a warrior. He was given the name “Crowfoot” and his warrior name was shouted with less enthusiasm then it was for a normal warrior. The newly named Crowfoot didn't notice though, all he saw were stars. He was that much close to his goal, that much closer to deputy, and then, eventually leader.
His vigil that night was spent with thoughts of a perfect utopia for cats, with him leading.
Unfortunately though, after his warrior ceremony, Crowfoot found himself never being chosen to go on patrols, or to train apprentices. He rarely went to gatherings and often hunted by himself. It infuriated the cat, this blatant biased opinion everyone had of him but, he tried to not let it show. After all, he didn't need anyone, now did he? The anger began to show eventually, though, it bled into everything Crowfoot did, his temper grew shorter, his words more sharp. By that point, everyone began to avid Crowfoot, not because of his heritage but, because of his short temper and cruel nature.
Life progressed on, Crowfoot trained himself, kept to himself, and plotted at night, when others slept. One day though, when at a gathering, Crowfoot was approached by a cat. It was a black tom, one who was around twenty-five moons old, the same age as Crowfoot. He introduced himself as Spiderfur, Crowfoot's brother from BrookClan. The tom explained to Crowfoot that their father had died just recently and, after his death, Spiderfur was finally told about his heritage. The other tom seemed friendly enough and said he was so glad to finally meet Crowfoot and that he was sure they could be good friends and, heck, he was sure his mate, Heronwing, would even like Crowfoot.
But, Crowfoot did not like Spiderfur. The warrior had convinced himself, long before he had even met his brother, that he hated him. And so, not being a tactful cat, Crowfoot told Spiderfur just how exactly he felt and watched his brother crawl away with an uneasy feeling of self satisfaction.
He didn't need anyone, he really didn't.
Spiderfur came crawling back, though, and at every gathering Crowfoot happened to be at, the energetic black tom would come searching his brother out. One day Crowfoot even found him in Boulderclan territory, waiting for him.
Every time Crowfoot would spot his lanky body and black coat his hatred for his brother would grow.
Spiderfur's visits stopped one moon, though, and while Crowfoot was somewhat confused, he was also eternally grateful. Nearly two moons after Crowfoot had last seen Spiderfur, he learned why his brother's visits had stopped. His mate, the one he spoke of so much, had given birth to a pair of healthy kits. Two toms, Black-kit and Ashkit.
The news didn't bother him, at first, but, eventually, Crowfoot grew to realize that while he brother had kits and an apprentice... Crowfoot didn't have anything. Of course, the tom had convinced himself that he didn't need anyone.... But he would need a trustworthy deputy, for when he did become leader of Boulderclan. (He was working on getting rid of the current deputy but, he would need an apprentice for that.)
Over the next few weeks a plan started to form in Crowfoot's mind. Spiderfur could give him one of his kits, and then Crowfoot could raise the kit to be his apprentice, and eventually, deputy. He had a hard time deciding which one but, at the next gathering when he heard BrookClan cats talking about what a “bully” Black-kit was, he decided.
Not wanting to waste any time, Crowfoot searched his brother down at the gathering and asked to meet he and Heroning secretly, the next night. Spiderfur, ecstatic his brother wanted to meet his mate, agreed and, when the Gathering ended, left in high spirits.
Crowfoot dreamed of his mother that night, his mother and a devious kit black kit by her side.
The meeting, however, did not go as Crowfoot planned. Spiderfur and Heronwing refused his offer, and it left a bad feeling in the tom's chest. The feeling only continued to grow as Herongwing scolded him for even asking and just wouldn't shut up. Crowfoot felt something snap when the she-cat said something about his mother, or maybe she just used the phrase “mother”, Crowfoot isn't sure. He just knows that she said something, something, and before he realized what had happened, he was digging his claws out of her lifeless body.
Spiderfur fell next, he fought bravely but, he was no match for his stronger brother.
Crowfoot returned to BoulderClan kitless that night, his brother and his mate's bodies left for the birds at BrookClan's border.
He didn't even think of his brother again, up until BrookClan cats came to BoulderClan, accusing them all of murdering Spiderfur and Heronwing. The BrookClan cats left eventually but, not before putting everyone in a bad mood. Crowfoot's moods had always been bad but, the BrookClan cats made it worse.
He was finally driven over the edge when he learned that the kits in the nursery, the ones who were ready to be made into apprentices, were being given to warriors younger then Crowfoot. Infuriated over having lived far longer then the chosen mentors and never receiving an apprentice, Crowfoot went off on the leader, announcing to them, and the rest of the clan, of how he killed Spiderfur and Heronwing, how he'd do it again to, if he had the chance. He was just so tired of it all, all the bias, never being good enough... He was through with it.
He was banished that night, chased out of the clan and, now, with no warrior code or other cats to bother him, Crowfoot had never felt better.
rogue : Since his banishment, Crowfoot has been biding his time. He knows he'll have to join another Clan, (or start one), if his plans of Utopia are ever to come to fruit. For now, though, he's trying to concentrate on getting an apprentice, a young cat to train and model to be his loyal deputy, when the time comes.
He's sure his nephew Blackpaw will do fine, and, certainly once he hears of his plans, Blackpaw will have to accept, right? A forest with no fighting, or needless deaths... It's just what the cats need.[/ul]
