APPEARANCE: Hawkeye is a black and brown she-cat with bright amber eyes.
PERSONALITY: Hawkeye is very understanding. She knows the pain of losing family to various causes when they were watching you train the day before. She is a very good listener. She attempts to comfort others who have lost loved ones, but she is not one for making things seem less than they are.
Hawkeye is also very honest. She will not lie, even if doing so would save her reputation. She knows that, while the truth may hurt, the truth is best in the end. Lies, while they may seem good at the time, tend to get a cat into more trouble than if they had told the truth. She will try to teach this to any apprentice she can, though she is less successful than she would like.
Hawkeye is very protective of her loved ones and clanmates. She has known the pain of loss and wants to prevent that from happening to the best of her ability. She will stand in front of her clanmates, even her best friend Eaglestar, until her heart stops beating if she feels the need.
REASON FOR NAME: Hawkeye's pelt at birth reminded her mother, Shadowstream, of a hawk. Her eyes are very bright, and Hawkeye notices things that many do not.

Hawkeye was born to Shadowstream and Goldheart of Goldenclan. She had two littermates, Quickkit and Smallkit. The three were inseperable. Quickkit succumbed to greencough at a young age, to the surprise of every clan member. Smallkit was expected to go, instead of Quickkit. This happened at around the same time as when Hawkkit's friend Eaglekit lost his littermate. However, Hawkkit and Smallkit supported each other, keeping Hawkkit from falling into the depression that had consumed Eaglekit.
When she reached six moons of age, Hawkkit, Smallkit, and Eaglekit all became apprentices. Hawkkit became Hawkpaw, and was apprenticed to a young warrior by the name of Rosepetal. Smallkit, now Smallpaw, was assigned to an older warrior named Duskpelt. Hawkpaw and Smallpaw did most of their training sessions together, much like Eaglepaw and his brother Adderpaw.
On their first patrol, Hawkpaw and Smallpaw had to help defend clan borders from a Boulderclan hunting party. Hawkpaw, a good fighter even by that young age, was nimble and defended the borders valiantly. However, Smallpaw wasn't so lucky. Smallpaw had gotten a swipe in her side. The claws of the attacking cat had punctured one of Smallpaw's lungs. Duskpelt had rushed Smallpaw back to camp, but Smallpaw was dead by the time they reached the clearing.
Hawkpaw became a warrior five moons after the death of her sister. She was given the name Hawkeye because of her bright yellow eyes and startlingly sharp eyesight. Hawkeye became more subdued after her sister's death, but she always had a soft spot in her heart for her best friend Eagleheart.
One day, Eagleheart, Frostedstar, and Hawkeye's mother Shadowstream went on a patrol. Hawkeye had become worried when the group had taken a long time to return to camp. When the group had returned, Eagleheart had Shadowstream's limp form on his back. Hawkeye had been devastated, as had her father Goldheart.
Hawkeye had slowly been recovering from the shock of loseing her mother when Goldheart was assigned to a hunting patrol. Two of the cats returned to camp, and they were very worried and agitated. They kept running around camp, going from the leader's den to Eagleheart, who had been given the rank of deputy. It wasn't until sunset that Hawkeye was told that her father had gone missing. This pushed Hawkeye pretty much over the edge. She was confined to the warriors den and the mouth of the den until she began to return to her old self.
RP EXAMPLE: Shadowstream nuzzles Hawkeye. "I'll be back," Shadowstream says to her kit. "Do not worry about me. I am still young enough to defend myself." Hawkeye laughs quietly and nuzzles her mother.
"Be safe," Hawkeye whispers. "Goldheart and I will be waiting for your return." Shadowstream nods, a smile at her lips, before following Frostedstar and Eagleheart out of camp.
Around sunset, Hawkeye sees Eagleheart and Frostedstar returning. She gets up and begins to walk over, but sees a limp form over the leader's back. "No..." Hawkeye mews quietly. She turns back to the warriors den. "Goldheart!" She calls before running toward the returning group. She sees the limp form of her mother's black pelt. "No!" she yells. She stops at the center of camp, where Shadowstream's body is deposited. "Shadowstream... Shadowstream!" Around now, Goldheart appears at Hawkeye's side. Hawkeye nuzzles her father, her tears mixing with his.
