REDFLOWER
By this time, most of BrookClan would be asleep. Redflower would be, too, if it wasn't for the fact she had Dawn Patrol early that morning and then slept through most of the day. She'd gone on some evening hunting patrols but they hadn't tired her out; Newleaf was so invigorating that it took more than a little bit of hunting to wear her out. Instead, she wanted to be outside and roaming the territory, she wanted to enjoy the warm, cool air and the new growth that covered the territory. She couldn't imagine just curling up and going to sleep on a night like this.
After trying to sleep, and failing, she padded out of the Warrior's Den, stretched, and then was on her way. She didn't give the cat guarding the camp any more than a flick of her tail as acknowledgment, he flashed her an irritated look in return but she didn't acknowledge it. He didn't say anything because by now, most cats knew by now that she was prickly and aggressive and it was usually just easier on everyone if you avoided provoking her.
The night was dark and Silverpelt was brilliantly clear--as soon as she was out of camp and running she felt more alive than ever. She liked being free, under the sky, open. It was nice to be apart for a while and soon she was breathing easier. Sometimes she felt trapped in the camp and it was nice to feel apart from all that from time to time. She loved her clan but felt like she wasn't part of them sometimes--those feelings were what drove her away and made her as aggressive as she was.
It didn't take long for her to reach the Bluebell Meadow. Some of the flowers were starting to bloom and become green again, but she couldn't tell in the darkness--all she could see were the stems swaying the breeze. It was oddly peaceful, and she padded to the center of the Meadow and stretched out to look up at the starry night.
[ blahh still trying to get a hold of her character :c ]
