<---- LIONFANG
Tom, 40 Moons
RANK: Warrior
ALLIANCE: BrookClan
APPEARANCE: Tan tom with brown points and sapphire eyes
PERSONALITY:
Lionfang is a true and brave warrior. He’s loyal, but there is a side of them that makes one question if he would turn on them if he fell in love with someone from another clan. They’re probably right. He wouldn’t admit this to his clans face, but it’s true that he’s a lover with a big heart. When it comes to fighting, he tends to try and avoid it unless he has to. With that being said, he’s a great hunter and tends to go off alone just so that he can hunt. Lionfang has a soft spot for kits.
For some reason he’s always been happy around them and often wishes to have some of his own eventually. You won’t hear him talking about it, but if you watch him when he’s looking at them you can see it in his eyes. Lionfang has been wrong in his life many times and tries to ignore that fact, but he is very hostile towards others; especially females.
He’s a hard nut to crack, but once you can break through to him, you’ve managed something amazing. Lionfang is a conservative thinker. He thinks males should be the leaders and the ones who run the clan while females should just have the babies and take care of the injured. He got this from his parents, so it’s something that has to be worked past.
REASON FOR NAME:
Lion -- Because of his tan coat
Fang -- Because of his hunting skills
FAMILY:
Riverstrike -- Mother -- Deceased
Leopardheart -- Father -- Deceased
HISTORY:
Kithood
He was a normal feline. He was born to older parents and he was their first successfully born kit. All the ones before him had died because his mother’s body didn’t register that she was pregnant. So, when he was born it was a miracle. They spoiled and loved him like any parent would. They raised him well, but with a mindset that wasn’t common among warriors. Both his parents had been kittypets or loners that had found the clans and liked how it worked so they had joined. They learned the warrior way and taught their son the ways as well. The one thing that they didn’t teach him was to treat females as equals because his mother had always been a Queen. They’d always been trying to have kits so she’d never really gone through the whole warrior things and they frowned upon females fighting.
Apprenticehood
Lionpaw was normal. Went through his training as normal and everything. The only issue that went on with it was the fact that his mentor was female. His parents didn’t like it and so he didn’t like it and whenever he talked back to his mother about it she would swipe him over the ears with a paw. That in turn, caused him to have an aversion to females. You can say that it wasn’t a good thing seeing as he lived in a clan that eventually claimed a female for their leader.
Warriorhood
When Lionpaw became Lionfang, his parents were over joyed. Not long after, they died of old age. His father was first and then went his mother. It was no surprise for Lionfang, but the clan was shocked that he showed no emotion over the whole thing. Many began to avoid him and he just turned a blind eye to it. He had no reason to care what they thought of him. He just went about his duties and tired to tune out the things that his clan mates might say to him.
RP EXAMPLE:
The ground was cool; the leaves had turned color and rustled in the breeze that traveled through the tree branches. I lifted my nose to that breeze, drawing in drag after drag of the scents that played there. It was a warmer day, but the bite of winter wasn’t far behind. A shiver raced acrossed my spine. I hated the cold, wet seasons. Sure, I didn’t mind jumping into the river now and again, but no one like winter. My fluff coated tail lashed from side to side for a moment. My temper cooled though and I continued one my way. I wasn’t really out here to hunt. I was patrolling, making sure that no one that shouldn’t be here, was kept out. My limbs picked up to a trot, head low and body ready for just about anything. I drew in quick breath after quick breath, trying to keep each scent cataloged in my mind. That was about the time I realized that one of these scents was off. We had an outsider in our territory. I snarled the sound a low rumble in my throat as I shot forward with a quick burst of speed. Muscles bunched and curled under my coat. They would regret this.
Thump, thump, thump. The beat of my paws against the ground echoed the thrum of my heart in my chest. I would not let this feline get away with this. I shoved through bushes, fallen leaves and several other things. I didn’t care that I was sending prey flying to the wind. Teeth bared as I took a sharp turn, nearly running into a tree with the harshness of the turn. I knew that the enemy had heard me when they sounded off their fury at being found. Well, they weren’t about to out swim someone like me. I spent much of my time in the water. Now, they were going to get caught and dragged before my leader. I saw the lithe, dark shape of a cat lunching themselves into the icy water. I stopped at the shore, waiting to see where they came up. That’s when I notice they were struggling. No matter if they were the enemy. I jumped in after them and swam with all the power I had in me. I could not. . . No, I would not let them drown. Death ruined water and it was just wrong not to help a cat in need.
With power full strides, I pushed toward them. Shoving my weight into it, I reached the feline and grabbed their scruff. No matter if they hated me for this or not, I was helping them. I kicked for the shore, four legs working as hard as they could. I wasn’t used to this kind of weight, but I had to keep reminding myself that it was just like dragging a fish through the water with you. Soft, wet ground came up under my paws and I was walking, no longer swimming, but still dragging this cat along. I dropped them down on the ground, but kept a paw pressed on them. That was about the moment I realized that it was a she-cat. Surprise washed my features, but it was quick to disappear as I shoved those emotions away. They were back on my land now. I had to show them that trespassing was not going to be tolerated here. No matter if they were a she-cat. Females were fools to think they could be considered equals with males.
