<---- HUSHPAW
tom, nine moons
RANK: apprentice
ALLIANCE: GoldenClan
APPEARANCE: grey tabby tom with blue eyes and white markings.
PERSONALITY:
••STORYTELLER & CLEVER:
Like most kits this tom doesn't like to admit that he made a mistake, well most of the time. So to avoid that acknowledgment of his failure he tries to distract people from the truth and come up with some pretty odd stories for how things happened. Do you remember the famous line "The sun was in my eyes"? Usually used as an excuse for missing anything well he is the one to come up with things like that, though for him it is a lot more creative and if he can't think of anything on the spot he will result back to some of the original material. Even though he likes telling these stories, and they are usually pretty entertaining, he usually tends to make them more on the unbelievable side making the adults think he is just playing rather than attempting to lie. So in a result he never really comes up with a story that others will believe, and yet, he still keeps trying. There are times when other would see him as a bit crazy. At times he will talk to himself under his breath about what stories he has used or anything else he can think of. To him its perfectly natural to talk to himself, while for others it makes him look a bit delusional. With this he has a rather short attention span making it hard for him to focus on just one thing at a time.
Still behind this the tom cat is actually pretty clever. Coming up with those stories is not easy and because of this he is rather smart and it helps him to act on a problem rather quickly. For a young tom he understands a lot more than most give him credit for. He does not like being talk down to and treated like he doesn't know about anything. He will not take kindly to that and will usually talk back or make some rude remark before storming off. This tom likes a challenge and takes up a lot of time asking odd questions or trying to figure something out. Like a rubix cube, you turn it around, twist it while desperately trying to match of the colors. That is what he likes to do with a lot of things unless something clearly more interesting captures his attention. Which is possible, but then he will treat that subject like the most important thing in the world until he moves on to something else. Even if he skips over something he thought was important in the past he will usually bring it up again with the thought crosses his mind in the future.
••SHY & THOUGHTFUL:
While he seems very outgoing Hushkit is the type of cat that is only comfortable around others that he knows. Other than that when he is around a new cat he stares at them like they are aliens, and tends to clam up and look at his paws. It takes him some time to really warm up to anyone else unless it is someone he really connects with right from the start. Though usually it doesn't happen that way and he kind of watches them, stays quiet until he feels like he can be himself. If you can imagine a little kid running around and playing until someone stops to watch them and they freeze, it's just like that. When he is in his shy mode he speaks few if any words, and can not look you directly in the eyes unless he forces himself to, but even then he gets nervous and starts to fidget around. When being watched for awhile he can't sit still and gets rather irritated pretty quickly. He likes to observe but hates to be the thing being observed it drives him crazy.
Keeping to himself at times allows him to think rather deeply on a subject. While most look at something from one angle he looks at it from any way imaginable. He doesn't see anyone problem only having one solution he sees them with many all effecting the problem in their own way. He loves when a possibility is endless as it allows his overly creative mind to come up with some pretty random suggestions and stories. He is very observant which helps him to notice the little things that most cats miss. This is a trait he can use as an advantage by reading other's emotions and facial features to help him figure things out.
••ANXIOUS & CLUMSY:
Hush can get really anxious at times, usually when he gets in trouble and doesn't know his punishment. His anxiety can lead to little bursts of activity making him unable to sit still or really listen clearly on what is being told, during which he just can't seem to close his mouth and continues rambling on about on thing or another without making much sense. After he has calmed down his body still trembles lightly at times, as it is his body's way of releasing that stress put on by that. He can also channel that anxiety into excitement for anything going on such as training, being an apprentice, getting a new name anything that may prove exciting for a young tom. With this he can be very clumsy even when just being himself, he was often told he had two left paws and could always be found randomly losing balance or tripping over his own paws when he wasn't paying attention.
REASON FOR NAME: He was given his prefix Hush because when he was born he was not mewing at first. His mother thought him mute and named him Hushkit, though when prodded by the medicine cat he started mewing. Paw because he is an apprentice.

HISTORY:
[BACKGROUND]
Hushpaw's lineage can date back to about three generations starting with a tom cat by the name of Sootleaf. He was a wise tom cat with streaks of white and grey over his fur with eyes the color of the grass under his paws. His parents are unknown to the generation at hand since it has been forgotten. Sootleaf however was known for his help against intruding foxes when he was a warrior and it was this publicity that allowed him to find his mate. A pretty tan colored female known as Sandflower. The two then had kits that following spring. Sandflower gave birth to two kittens that morning. A grey and tan tom cat that they named Dustkit and a pale grey female that they named Mistkit.
Along the road the two kits had become Dustnose and Mistfeather of GoldenClan. Dustnose unfortunately died as a newer warrior but his sister lived on. She then met a dark brown tabby tom by the name of Brackentail. The two had later that season become mates and were expecting the next season during summer. She ended up only having one kit a daughter whom they named Leafkit. She was a brown tabby she-cat with green eyes, and she grew up into a strong apprentice. As Leafpaw of GoldenClan she met two toms by the names of Stormpaw and Cedarpaw. Both brothers and sons to Moonfur and Swallowsong. Leafpaw grew attached to both brothers which in result ended up in the rivalry of the two brothers. In the end she had to choose one of them after their warrior ceremonies. The following morning after she became Leafgaze of GoldenClan she had to decide between Stormpelt or Cedarstep. And she later that afternoon decided on Stormpelt. They soon after became mates and she to was expecting. In the spring she bore three kits. Hushkit, Ebonykit, and Dusk-kit.
KIt
Hushpaw was born to Leafgaze and Stormpelt of GoldenClan. He had two younger siblings a sister and a brother. His sister was named Ebonykit for her black pelt received more on their fathers side. His brother was Dusk-kit a faded grey tom cat with lime green colored eyes though both siblings did not last their first leaf bare. Hushkit at the time was more skinny looking as a kit and yet he still managed to see spring, and grow from there. With no siblings to play with he had to play with other kits in the nursery though most were older than him.
Apprenticeship:
At the age of six moons he was made into an apprentice. Given the name Hushpaw of GoldenClan. Hushpaw received Cedarstep his own uncle who was not pleased to get one of Leafgaze's kits. Hushpaw was becoming for taller, and muscle started to fill in making his body more thick and strong. But that leaf bare his mother was lost to green cough. Sick with grief him and Stormpelt grieved her loss. This seemed to bring the brothers closer though since Cedarstep started to talk to him again. But after a few moons their fathers body was found dead on the fields. Blood splattered from his throat, and Cedarstep that same day disappeared.
RP EXAMPLE:
Hushpaw was laying on the beach, his paws tucked under his thin frame though hidden under the fluff of his fur. The sun was beating down upon his body and the apprentice welcomed the warmth after many cold winter days. Especially beside the sea, soon enough they would have to rename the Clan IceClan instead of SkyClan if the weather got any colder at night. Still he soaked up as much sun as he could during the day since he figured it would keep him warm at night if he did. Though so far there was no luck on that part though maybe he had not yet absorbed enough warmth. So he was determined to do so today even if it meant laying out her all day long. His striking blue eyes were narrowed as the sun soothed him and he found his eyes drooping. Soon enough the young tom cat was asleep and his dreams were only filled with the soft soothing sounds of the ocean crashing against the shore. He wondered where the waves came from? Perhaps there was a big cat somewhere splashing in the water causing it to ripple? The image formed in his dreams, how amazing would that be!
Suddenly a sound of a seagull caught his attention pulling him out of his dreams and blinking into reality. He had to admit to himself he was startled as his heart was pounding in his chest and his head whipped around franticly for a few moments. Blinking back the sun's rays he lifted his head to see the blurry outline of something. Squinting his deep blue eyes it became clear as the seagull flew above him squawking rather loudly to the point that Hushpaw scrunched up his face in annoyance. Lowering his head he placed his paws over his hears and grumbled to himself. stupid bird... got to be so loud, what does it think it is? A dog? he mumbled to himself his tail swished back and forth brushing away the sand underneath it. When the bird had passed over head something floated from its body. Hushpaw immediately switched to intrigued mode and his eyes watched it intently his head swayed with it as it came a bit closer every time. As the object neared the earth he identified it as a feather, and easily got excited. Hoping to his paws he fell face first into the sand, looking back his paws were tangled in each other from being curled under his body for so long.
Untangling them and getting to his paws she shook his head letting sand fall from his muzzle before bounding towards the feather. His bright blue eyes wide as he tried to watch where it would fall. Though every time he made it to its location the wind picked it up and blew it farther away. Hey! come back! he called after it chasing it toward the water his paws squished into the mud, some of it clinging to his paws. His gaze was intensely focused on the feather that he didn't notice the cold foamy water running up to him until it splashed against his paws and legs. Hushpaw jumped and dashed back to the dry sand, clearly not expecting the cold water as he shook his legs one leg at a time. Though it was soon forgotten when the feather flew past him and up the hill towards camp and the grey tabby trotted after it kicking up sand behind him, while getting it on his legs. His ears flattened against his head as he pawed his way up the small hill, and followed it into the camp clearing. It swerved around him overhead like a vulture and he in turn kept spinning to follow it.
It slowly started to fall toward him and his he reached forward to bat it down to the ground. His ears lifted and flicked, his whiskers twitched in delight as he stared at his defeated opponent. His eyes wide as his tail swished back and forth like a kit who just explored for the first time. He lowered down onto his stomach, his shoulders rolled as he waited a moment before pouncing on it. Taking a step back he looked down upon the white and grey feather clearly pleased with himself before poking at it with his paw.
