<---- POPPYPAW
female, 8 moons
RANK: apprentice[/b] Cloudfur- small, skinny white she-cat with green eyes.
ALLIANCE: Hillclan
APPEARANCE: A medium-sized half-orange, half-white tabby she-cat.
PERSONALITY: Poppypaw is a rather calm and serene she-cat. Though she can't remember what he was like, Poppypaw's been told she takes more after her father's personality than her mother's. From what she knows of her mother, she agrees. Cloudfur and Poppypaw couldn't be more different if they tried. Where Cloudfur is excitable and energetic, Poppypaw is peaceful and quiet. This has caused various fights between mother and daughter, but they still get along most of the time.
Poppypaw gets along with almost everyone. She is very affectionate and loyal to those who have shown her they are worthy of it. The only times she's ever been known to become violent are when it's life or death for either her or someone she cares about, or a battle between clans. She will never raise a claw to any clanmate unless they are going to harm her or her family.
Though it is usually a good thing, Poppypaw's niceness can get the better of her. She trusts any cat who shows her they can be trusted, and doesn't question them. It is for this reason she is easily deceived. She will argue until she is blue against accusations against a cat until they are proven true, which makes her feel terrible when, in most cases, they are proven to be true.
Another downfall in her personality is her over-bearing protective drive. She feels the need to protect those she cares about, and sometimes, it is taken to extremes. She's been caught following her brothers a few times, which irritates them because they don't want to feel like they have to be babysat all of the time.
REASON FOR NAME: Her mother loves the name 'poppy', and, though a poppy seed is brown, she didn't have any brown kits, so her orange first-born was named 'poppy'.
FAMILY:
Father: Foxthorn- orange tabby tom with light amber eyes. [Deceased]
Siblings:
Redpaw- white tom with a couple of orange tabby spots and brown eyes.
Beechpaw- light cream tabby tom with green eyes.[/ul]
HISTORY: Poppypaw was the first-born of a litter of three. She was the smallest, but she didn't let that bother her growing up. Her siblings were toms, so they were naturally larger than her anyways. Besides, she could always pull out the 'i-was-born-first-so-you-have-to-listen-to-me' trick on them. They hated it. As the trio of kits grew up, they became super close. Their mother, Cloudfur, was a great mom, but wasn't always around. She never liked being in the nursery, and was out of it as much as possible. This left the kits to do whatever they wanted to in order to entertain themselves.
If asked about her father, Poppypaw can't say much. He died in a border dispute when she was only a moon and a half old. She has been told many stories of him, but there is one memory she has of him. She doesn't remember much of it anymore, but they were sitting by themselves while Redkit and Beechkit were playing behind them. She'd asked him a question (she doesn't remember what it was), to which he replied with 'the best ever, Poppykit. I know it for sure.'. She likes to think that her question was 'Will I be a good warrior, dad?'
When she reached six moons old, Poppypaw was so excited, as were her brothers. She'd been waiting for the day she got a mentor for as long as she could remember. She's determined to be the best apprentice, and not get into any trouble. So far, in her two moons of apprenticeship, she's kept up with that goal. Her brothers, on the other hand, have gotten in to their fair share of mischief. The three are still close, though.
RP EXAMPLE: The wind whistled through the trees yet again. There was going to be rain, and she knew it. That's why she was in this part of the forest. It looked more dense than other places. Maybe there'd be a good place to take shelter from the rain here. Whisper sighed and looked around her. This place was wet. She could hear a stream gurgling somewhere through the trees ahead of her.
The tortoiseshell she-cat decided to get a drink. She was thirsty. Before taking a step forward, she looked around. Boy, did she hate when it was loud! The birds around her seemed like they were chirping just to spite her. She located one on a nearby branch and glared at it for a couple of seconds.
Whisper licked her lips and imagined herself eating it. She knew she'd have no chance of catching it when it was in the tree, so she shook her head and took a step forward towards the area where she heard the water coming from. Crack. She froze and looked down. Whisper turned around slowly, looking frantically at the bushes around her. That noise would have been fine if it was her who'd snapped a twig.
But, it wasn't, so now the she-cat was on full alert. "I-I know you're there." she stated quietly. Her heart was racing. It was surely Shomari. She just knew the evil she-cat would find her someday. The stub of a tail she had left twitched at te memory of their last meeting. She'd been standing there for about a minute, and nothing had presented itself.
Maybe it was just a squirrel. There were plenty of those here, right? Whisper reassured herself before continuing forward. Crunch. Now, that one wasn't a squirrel. AND, it was much closer to her. On her right. Whisper whipped her head to the right and peered into the bushes. She couldn't see anything, but she new they were in there.
"C-Come out. I know yo-you're in there." she stuttered as she sidestepped away from the bush. Her green eyes were locked on the shrub as she waited for the other cat to emerge.
