PERSONALITY: Sandpaw is a very sweet, shy, and quiet she-cat...most the time. Most the time, Sandpaw has a very high tolerance for many things; so she doesn't get angry very easily; unless it's a sore topic for her. Sandpaw isn't one to assert herself; she's more of that apprentice that needs encouraging often. Her self-esteem is not very high; and she is easily intimidated, especially by cats larger than her; most especially cats of BoulderClan size. Some may say that Sandpaw isn't ready for apprenticeship due to her kit-like attitude and naivety. However, when the time comes, Sandpaw knows she can help the clan; she just needs help in figuring out what.
When with other clan cats, like at a gathering or something, Sandpaw tends to stay closer to her own clan; instead of mingling with the others. Due to her shyness Sandpaw doesn't like being the first to talk to someone; she doesn't really like talking period. It's not to say she ignores cats; she feels that would be rude and mean, but she just doesn't converse much unless someone is talking to her first.
The other times, at which Sandpaw is not the sweet, shy and quiet she-cat; is when it deals with her kin. When it deals with the topic of her kin, Sandpaw becomes emotional; easily angered and sharp-tongued. It most likely includes talk of her littermate, Flamepaw, and her other kin, Kinktail. Other than those topics, Sandpaw is just a quiet apprentice that needs the encouragement of her mentor more often than others. Not to say she is weak, but she just doesn't think she's good enough. Her loyalty never wavers though; despite the fact of her kin becoming a rouge and her littermate going missing. She is dedicated to the clan, and she believes the clan is everything; but she just doesn't believe in herself. She looks up to the GoldenClan leader, Eaglestar, the deputy, Doveflight, and her mentor. She someday wishes to be a great warrior like her leader and deputy are, as well as her mentor.
REASON FOR NAME: Sandpaw was named Sandkit because of her sandy brown tabby pelt.
FAMILY: Father - Leopardclaw; a large golden spotted tom with amber eyes. [ Deceased ]
Mother - Dawnfur; a pretty light brown she-cat with green eyes. [ Deceased ]
Littermate(s) - Flamepaw; a large reddish golden tom with brown eyes. [ Missing ]
Other Kin - Kinktail; a fierce brown she-cat with green eyes. Her tail fur sticks out at all angles; thus her name. [ GoldenClan Rouge ]
HISTORY: Sandkit was almost just like Sandpaw is now; both were quiet and shy, to everyone but her kin. Her mother, Dawnfur was alive back then, and took great care of her two kits. Sandkit loved playing with Flamekit though; the two would always get into trouble, mainly because Sandkit wouldn't let Flamekit do anything alone. Sandkit followed in Flameit's steps almost everywhere he went, she admired her courageous, adventurous littermate. However, even as a kit, Sandkit knew something was different with Kinktail; her other kin. So, Sandkit avoided Kinktail as if she were greencough. Flamekit, on the other hand, loved Kinktail; he wanted to be just like his other kin.
Sandkit and Flamekit separated then, slowly but surely; their relationship as littermates was strained, all because of Kinktail. Sandkit was intimidated by the warrior; and Flamekit was inspired by her. Before they became apprentices, their mother had gotten ill; and after a moon, joined StarClan. That was when Sandpaw and Flamepaw gotten their apprentice names. Both mourned the lost of their mother; but Kinktail hadn't. A few sunrises after their apprenticeship, Kinktail's allegiance became known; she wanted to control the clan, even going after the deputy. Kinktail hadn't succeeded, luckily, and was chased out of GoldenClan. Sandpaw hadn't felt that much relief in her life. However, Kinktail didn't plan on going alone; and with the death of Leopardclaw, her father, Kinktail managed to persuade Flamepaw to leave the clan. A sunrise later, Flamepaw was nowhere to be found. Sandpaw was devasted, but she promised herself that she'd try and bring Flamepaw back; she promised herself that she's make Flamepaw see how evil Kinktail truly was.
